Internet Settings
If you want to receive the settings of mobile Internet on your phone, send a SMS with YES to 1300. These are automatically stored on your mobile. Another FREE service of Ortel Mobile!
Or you follow this link to the settings tool and then choose your phone. The settings are sent for free to your mobile phone and stored.
To manually configure the settings, please find below the required data. Read the manual of your mobile to configure the MMS settings.

Data settings for my Android phone
Follow the steps below to configure MMS and Internet:
- Choose Settings.
- Choose and Wireless networks.
- If select Data Connection / Packet data and check it. - Select Mobile networks.
- Select Access Point Names.
- Remove all existing APNs by tapping and selecting the menu button, Delete APN.
- Select the menu key and select New APN.
- Name: Ortel Internet
- APN: portalmmm.nl
- MMSC: http://mp.mobiel.kpn/mmsc
- MMS Proxy: 10.10.100.20
- MMS Port: 5080
- Select the menu button and choose Save
- Choose Ortel Internet and select it
- Turn the phone off and restart it in order to activate the settings.
- Now start the internet on your Android device!
Data settings for my iPhone
Follow the steps below to configure MMS and Internet:
- Choose Settings.
- Choose General.
- Choose Network.
- If this has not happened yet, choose Enable 3G and turn it on.
- Choose Mobile data and turn it on.
- Choose Mobile Data Network (if the Mobile Data Network option is not available, it is unfortunately not possible to manually configure the device. In this case, connect the device to the PC and open iTunes to the so-called "Carrier Settings" to install.)
- APN: portalmmm.nl – 2nd APN: portalmmm.nl
- MMSC: http://mp.mobiel.kpn/mmsc
- MMS Proxy: 10.10.100.20:5080
- Turn the iPhone off and restart it in order to activate the settings.
- Now start the internet on your iPhone!
My mobile internet is not working. What should I do?
In case you cannot use internet, the settings on your phone are probably not correct. Send a SMS to 1300 with YES to receive your settings. These are automatically stored on your mobile. Another FREE service of Ortel Mobile!
When does my mobile internet bundle start?
You will receive immediately upon activation a confirmation SMS. From that moment on your mobile internet bundle is valid.
How many MB I have on my bundle
You can see the amount MB’s available by simply requesting for it via the following free codes.
For:
- Internet bundle (€ 2.50) - dial * 120 * 001 # and call
- Internet PLUS bundle (€ 5.00) - dial * 121 * 001 # and call
- 1 GB bundel (€10,00 bought online) - dial *122*001# and call
- 1 GB bundel (€10,00 activated by phone) - dial *123*001# and call
What does data roaming mean?
We call the use of internet with your mobile phone 'use of data'. Roaming is the word we use for using our services abroad, so outside the Netherlands. So data roaming is the use of data abroad.
Can I use mobile internet outside the Netherlands?
As of the 1st of July 2015 you can use your Ortel sim card for mobile internet outside the Netherlands. For using mobile internet within the EU the same tarrifs as in the Netherlands are valid.
Outside EU member countries for this service different rates apply and mobile internet bundles are not valid. You can find the rates here

How can I switch off mobile internet outside the Netherlands (data roaming)?
Per default your smart phone does not make use of mobile internet outside the Netherlands. In case your phone does automatically connect, switch off the mobile data. You can find the instructions for most mobile phones here (dutch)
